Principle Networks confirmed on 27 October 2026 that it has completed the rollout of roughly 1,000 Cisco Meraki wireless access points across the UK club estate of Buzz Bingo. The work covers 80 clubs in England and Scotland and is the first major deliverable under a five-year co-managed IT agreement signed in February 2025.

The Meraki platform is a cloud-managed enterprise wireless system. It lets Buzz Bingo's IT team and Principle Networks monitor, configure and troubleshoot the network from a central point instead of handling each venue separately. That is a notable operational benefit for a geographically dispersed portfolio in which every building has its own layout and connectivity profile.

Because the clubs differ considerably in size, age and layout, a uniform installation was not practical. Principle Networks carried out venue-level assessments to plan access point placement and coverage maps for individual sites, while keeping a consistent management approach across the estate. The cloud-based design also supports the integration of IoT devices and network security, which matter more as the operator expands in-club digital services such as electronic bingo touchpads and self-service kiosks.

The network upgrade forms part of Buzz Bingo's £25m club investment programme, supported by new funding from Barclays. The programme also covers new technology, modernised interiors and upgraded food and drink. Buzz Bingo reported its first combined growth in admissions and revenue since 2007 during 2025, and said upgraded Wi-Fi and the rollout of more than 10,000 electronic bingo touchpads contributed to a 5.6% increase in electronic play.

David Cutts, Chief Technology Officer at Buzz Bingo, said the concept of bingo has evolved and that customers now have a wide range of choices in how they play, with technology at the heart of the operator's omnichannel approach. Russell Crowley, Co-CEO of Principle Networks, said that when every building is different, consistency requires understanding how each location operates and designing infrastructure around its specific needs.

Buzz Bingo is described as the UK's largest omnichannel bingo operator and is part of Buzz Group Ltd, which also runs Buzz Casino and BADA Bingo. Its online offering runs on Playtech software and connects with its retail estate through a single wallet system launched in 2022. Principle Networks will keep working with the internal IT team for the remainder of the partnership to manage and evolve the network.
