Oddschecker, the odds comparison portal owned by FairPlay Sports Media (FPSM), is closing its paid subscription service. From 27 October 2026, the premium OC+ tools suite will be free to access, according to a notice sent to subscribers today.

The flagship FPSM brand introduced paid subscriptions in 2024 as part of a new commercial strategy aimed at improving audience retention for clients. The OC+ suite includes betting tools, insights and premium tipping content, along with unlimited odds comparison grids featuring price history, market tracking and AI-powered analysis and displays.

The latest subscriber statement confirms that all OC+ tools and features will be available free across browsers and devices. Premium tipster content will also become freely available from 8am on 27 October. That content includes analysis and market insights from tipsters such as Andy Holding, Ginger Joe and Liam Firkin.

Subscription packages had also included reduced advertising, a racehorse share and a Racing TV discount. The notice does not say whether these extra benefits will continue under the free offering. Oddschecker said the change would make its tools more accessible, but it did not explain the commercial thinking behind ending subscription charges.

The move follows a change of ownership in 2024, when US sports and entertainment fund Bruin Capital acquired Oddschecker from Flutter Entertainment in a transaction valued at £155m. Under Bruin Capital, Oddschecker became part of FPSM, a sports media network that also includes WhoScored, Confido Network and SuperScommesse.
